Prayer for young people

Father, in the name of Jesus we thank You that we all have a destiny, with unique gifts and callings. We are all creative because we are made in the image of Almighty God; we have His DNA within us. Thank You that we were not created by accident; we are not a mistake but dearly loved sons and daughters of the Living God.

Your Word tells us through the prophet Jeremiah (Jer.29:11) that You know the plans You have for us. Plans to give us a hope and a future, to prosper us and not to harm us.  Father we ask that You bring us into alignment with the headship of Jesus Christ and bless our eyes to see, our ears to hear and our hearts to understand the purpose you have for each of our lives.

Father, we thank You for our families and the children and young people who are connected to us.  We receive, welcome and acknowledge each one as a delightful blessing from You. We speak over each one, proclaiming the blessings of God our redeemer upon them. Thank You Lord that You give them wisdom, a reverential fear of God and a heart of love.

We bless our children and grandchildren to find favour, good understanding and high esteem in the sight of God, their teachers and classmates. We bless them with wisdom and understanding as knowledge is presented to them in all fields of study and endeavour.

We bless them with an appreciation for education and for helping them to understand that the source and beginning of all knowledge is You, Almighty God.

We bless them to have the appetite of the diligent and to be abundantly supplied with educational resources and we bless their thoughts to be those of the steadily diligent which tend only to achievement.

We bless them to grow in wisdom and knowledge and to have the necessary confidence and self-esteem to accomplish all that You have planned and purposed for their lives.  We bless them to make wise decisions in accordance with Your plans, purposes and timing. We decree that they are willing and obedient and that they shall eat the good of the land.

Father God, in the name of Jesus, we bless our children and grandchildren and their future mates to love and honour one another. We bless to their union upright sons and daughters who will live in accordance with Your Word.

We bless the right people to come into their lives at the right time, and that You Almighty God keep them from error and from being deceived.  We bless their source of income to be honourable and secure so that they will make a living with their own hands.

We bless them to always worship You in spirit and in truth.  We bless them to honour their parents and each other and walk in purity and favour, divine favour with God and with man.  We bless them to have the necessary confidence and self-esteem to accomplish all that You have planned and purposed for their lives allowing them to grow in wisdom and in stature and in favour with God and with man.

Father, we ask that you would guard our children and grandchildren from wrong influences, wrong friends and wrong environments.  Thank You that You bring the right people into their lives at the right time and keep them from error and from being deceived.  We thank You that according to Your Word, great is the peace of our children and grandchildren. They don’t walk in their own righteousness but in Your righteousness by the Blood of the Lamb.  We thank You that they will not get off track in life, none of their steps will slide for Holy Spirit will guide them every step of the way.( Ps.37:31).

We decree the enemy shall not outwit them or the son of wickedness afflict them, (Ps. 89:22) and we thank You that You send Your angels to accompany, preserve and protect them in all their ways. In the mighty name of Jesus we pray, Amen.

A Blessing for the United Kingdom of Great Britain & Northern Ireland

We bless You, King of the Universe, Sovereign of the World, to be exalted above all things, to be enthroned over our Nation, to be honoured, glorified, revered, worshipped and adored.

We bless the United Kingdom to fulfil its calling and destiny in Christ Jesus.  We bless our great Nation to rise up in its apostolic calling to be a nation to take forth the Gospel once more to other nations, and to see the Kingdom of God advance, and be expressed through righteousness, justice and godliness.

We bless this Nation to uphold its Judeo/Christian roots, to build solid biblical foundations. We bless our Government and the corridors of power at Westminster with honesty and integrity.  We bless our politicians to walk in truth and humility.

We bless the people of the United Kingdom with love, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.  We bless every home to be a place of safety.  We bless marriages and each family to be wholesome, and every child to feel safe and protected. We bless those who are homeless and alone with security and the help they need.

We bless the church in the land to be a city set on a hill proclaiming the true light of the Gospel. We bless you Great Britain and Northern Ireland with the Shalom that comes from the Father – wholeness, well- being and completeness.
